About Dallas

Creative Career Coach, Dallas Travers is the Founder of the Thriving Artist Circle and the author of the award winning book, The Tao of Show Business: How to Pursue Your Dream Without Losing Your Mind.

Respected as one of the entertainment industry’s leading experts, Dallas teaches actors the career and life skills often left out of traditional training programs. She has helped thousands of actors to increase their auditions, produce their own projects, secure representation and book roles in film and television.

In 2001, Dallas founded Sage Creative, Inc., an innovative consulting firm for actors. During her time at Sage, Dallas noticed that many clients shared similar questions about marketing and career management. She created workshops to address these very issues and continues to teach and motivate actors across the globe through live workshops, personal coaching, and in her online program, the Thriving Artist Circle.

Dallas’s best selling book, The Tao of Show Business: How to Pursue Your Dream Without Losing Your Mind won first prize in the “How To” category at the 2009 Hollywood Book Festival. The Tao of Show Business was also one of five finalists at the National Indie Excellence Awards and won Runner Up honors at the New York Book Festival.

In the summer of 2008, Dallas released the acclaimed educational CD, Living Mantras: Mastering the Art of Positive Speaking. This CD introduces the simple yet transformative practice of consciously asking powerful questions to produce new results in your career. Dallas is also a contributing author to the award-winning anthology, Conscious Entrepreneurs, compiled by Christine Kloser.

Dallas practices what she preaches. She continually educates herself, sets and meets new career goals, and works to add value to the lives of everyone she meets. Dallas enjoys life in Los Angeles, CA where she lives with her husband and two dogs. When she’s not teaching, Dallas loves to relax with her family, enjoy a great meal, and spend time with her friends.
